Ostrom most recently held various roles at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, including Associate Director, S&E (NIBR Business Development and Licensing Oncology and Respiratory Disease); Associate Director and Manager (NIBR Business Development and Licensing Alliance Management); and Scientist (Oncology Research and Oncology Translational Medicine). Previously, he served as an Associate Scientist at BiogenIdec. 

Ostrom received his B.S. from University of Michigan and M.A. from Harvard University.
