Big news in the Philadelphia life sciences scene! Last month, Governor Shapiro committed $125 million to launch Innovate in PA 2.0, which will help fund startups, build a statewide clinical trial network, and strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the life sciences across Pennsylvania.
A few highlights:
~ PA's life sciences sector already employs 100,000 people across 3,000 companies
~ Philly was ranked a top five region nationally for life sciences investment and leasing in 2025
~ This is the biggest state commitment to our industry in almost 30 years!
As a PA native, it's great to see this kind of investment doubling down on Philly and PA more broadly as a hub for biotech investment and innovation!
