Inscripta is a pioneering life science technology company that develops digital genome engineering solutions which enable the discovery and development of novel products across multiple industries, including sustainability, food and agriculture, synthetic biology, and biotechnology. To date, Inscripta has raised over $450 million in aggregate funding from top-tier investors.
Alex Hutcheson joins Inscripta with over 20 years of top performing sales and sales leadership experience, with a focus on capital equipment and emerging technology in various life science markets. Most recently, he spent 12 years at Pacific Biosciences where he progressed through commercial roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as Senior Director of Sales in the Americas. He was part of the team that sold the world’s first single molecule, real-time sequencing instruments and continued to help grow the long read sequencing market through multiple new product launches. Prior to PacBio, Alex demonstrated a track record of consistent success in sales positions at Genetix (acquired by Danaher), Biacore (acquired by GE Healthcare), and Beckman Coulter.
Alex received his B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biologic from University of California, Berkeley.
