De Backer brings to 10x extensive experience in strategy and corporate development in the pharma and healthcare industries. She most recently served in various roles over a highly successful, 20-year career at McKinsey & Company, where she was Partner and leader of the Strategy and Corporate Finance Practice in Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products. In her tenure at the company, she advised clients on a range of areas including new growth sectors, capital allocation, and mergers and acquisitions. De Backer holds a Licentiate in Law from the University of Ghent, Belgium and an LL.M. from New York University.
