Rath most recently served as Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Development at Seres Therapeutics. Previously, Rath served as Vice President, Business Development at Catabasis Pharmaceuticals. Earlier, Rath served as Executive Director, Corporate Development at Amgen. 

Rath received his A.B. from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
