Element Science, Inc. has appointed Christopher Hasser, Ph.D. as Vice President, Research and Development. Dr. Hasser joins Element Science from Intuitive Surgical, Inc. where he most recently served as Senior Director, Vision Engineering. He previously held positions with Intuitive Surgical as Director, Applied Research and Director, Product Management. Prior, Dr. Hasser served as Director and Chief Research Engineer at Immersion Corporation. His earlier career included roles at Armstrong Laboratory (operated by the U.S. Air Force) as Biorobotics Engineering Project Leader and Biomedical Research Engineer.
Dr. Hasser received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Dayton, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
