Townsend Plant, DMA, has joined Peabody as its first associate dean for enrollment and student life, overseeing admissions, financial aid, the registrar, and student affairs. Dean Plant previously led the Ithaca College School of Music admissions office. He has also served as assistant provost for admissions at Binghamton University and director of admissions for Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. Dean Plant holds both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Ithaca College in classical guitar as well as a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Eastman School of Music. He recently received a recognition plaque on Baltimore Business Journal’s People on the Move.
